Senior UX Designer

Complex tools rarely fail for lack of data. They fail when people can't see what matters.

I'm Jon — 13+ years designing data-heavy B2B and consumer products, including seven at Google. I lead work on complex workflows and AI-driven insights so expert users can see what matters, act with confidence, and stay in control.

About

Simplifying complex systems and workflows

I've led design on investigation tools used during live incidents, enterprise search in dense domains like patents, and marketplace seller journeys at scale — partnering across product, engineering, and design, and building systems others can work in.

I've worked in London, Dublin, San Francisco, New York, Zurich, and with teams across Europe, Asia, and the US — and shipped products into markets worldwide, including a platform used in 27 countries. That mix of places shapes how I approach problems and understand users.

I mentor designers, run cross-disciplinary sprints, and use AI in research, data exploration, and prototyping so teams move faster without giving up expert control.

  • Signal over volume — surface what matters at the right time, rather than more of it.
  • AI people can trust — insights that show their working and support judgement, not replace it.
  • Evidence before opinions — research and data to win alignment, then design the fix.
